With the proper handling and protection of personal information as its social responsibility, J.League (Japan Professional Football League and J.LEAGUE, Inc. and their subsidiaries and affiliates; the same applies hereafter; please refer to here for the current J.League) will comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan, other relevant laws and regulations, and their guidelines, etc., and will handle personal information based on the Privacy Policy set out below (this “Policy”). Furthermore, if a terms of use or privacy policy regarding the handling of personal information in each service provided by J.League (the “Individual Terms of Use”) are separately set out, the provisions in the Individual Terms of Use will apply as to matters not provided in this Policy and to matters that conflict with this Policy.

The personal information that J.League will acquire (the “Personal Information”) is as follows:

1.Information of J.League ID members, fan club members, and one-touch pass members

• Profile information such as name, gender, and date of birth
• Contact information such as address, telephone number, and email address
• Authentication information such as ID and password
• Owned one-touch pass information (club-issued member information)
• History information such as purchase history (products, tickets), stadium entry history, Wi-Fi access history, mobile app usage history, campaign entry history, and fan club membership history

2.Information of players

• Profile information such as name, gender, date of birth, club to which he/she belongs, background history, career information after deregistration
• Contact information such as address, telephone number, and email address
• Information required for various tournaments such as passport number

3.Information of person in charge of club operations, referees, media, partners, cameramen and other stakeholders

• Profile information such as name, gender, date of birth, age, organization to which he/she belongs, position, background history, qualifications, photograph of face
• Contact information such as address, telephone number, email address, and address of organization to which he/she belongs
• Payment information such as account number
• Authentication information such as password and system authorization

4.Information of persons in charge of J.League’s business partners

• Profile information such as name, organization to which he/she belongs, and position
• Contact information such as address, telephone number, email address, and address of organization to which he/she belongs
• Payment information such as remittance amount and remittance account
• Information required for tax purposes such as individual number called “My Number”

5.Information of event and lecture participants

• Profile information such as name, gender, age, organization to which he/she belongs, and title
• Contact information such as email address and address of organization to which he/she belongs

6.Information of policyholders

• Profile information such as name and date of birth
• Contact information such as address and telephone number
• Information on insurance policies such as insurance policy number, policy period, maturity date, and insurance premium amount

7.Information of persons making inquiries

J.League will use the Personal Information to the extent necessary for the following purposes of use (the “Purpose of Use”) by J.League and its business partners:

1.For performing the affairs concerning the operations of professional soccer

• Organizing professional soccer matches and preparing official records
• Training, certification, and registration of professional soccer players, coaches, referees, etc.
• Public outreach concerning professional soccer
• Survey, research, and guidance of soccer and soccer techniques
• Implementing welfare programs for professional soccer players, coaches, and stakeholders
• Implementing international exchanges and businesses concerning soccer
• Promotion and assistance of sports, especially soccer
• For operation of the club license systeFor being useful for the development, provision, maintenance, and improvement of products and services

2.For the advertisement, publicity, and sales promotion activities of products and services (including use for information analysis and marketing purposes; emails and direct mails, etc. may be sent to provide information on products and services, exhibitions, and various events)

3.For analyzing the individual’s tendencies, etc. to provide personalized services or distribute personalized ads

4.For academic study and research and development regarding sports

5.For services regarding the performance of agreements with business partners

6.For communications with those who come to exhibits, events, etc.

7.For managing the entry and exit of those who visit facilities operated by J.League or its partners

9.For responding to inquiries, opinions, and requests

10.For services regarding the rights and obligations of shareholders and other stakeholders under the Companies Act of Japan and other laws and regulations, such as delivering convocation notices, etc. and managing attendance at general meetings of shareholders

11.For other purposes of use set out in the Individual Terms of Use

J.League will not provide the Personal Information to third parties, except in the cases set out below:

1.If consent is obtained from the individual

2.If under the laws and regulations

3.If required for protecting the life, body, or property of a person, and is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual

4.If particularly required for improving public health or promoting the healthy development of children, and is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual

5.If required to cooperate with the performance of affairs by a government agency, local government, or a person entrusted thereby, as set forth in the laws and regulations, and there is the likelihood that the performance of such affairs will be obstructed by obtaining the individual’s consent

6.If such third party is an academic research institution and the handling of such personal data for academic research purposes is required by such third party (including if a part of the purpose of handling such personal data is for academic research purposes, and excluding if there is the likelihood of unfairly infringing on the rights and interests of an individual)

7.If entrusting the handling of the Personal Information to an outside service provider or other third party to the extent of achieving the purposes of use

8.If the business will be succeeded by merger, company split, transfer of business, etc., and the Personal Information will be provided

9.If the Personal Information that is jointly used with a specified person will be provided to such specified person

Notwithstanding the above, if required for the performance of affairs concerning the operation of professional soccer, there may be instances where J.League will provide the Personal Information to each club, event operators and stakeholders of soccer tournaments and other events, and the Japan Football Association and other sports organizations, and other third parties.

J.League will not provide the Personal Information to overseas third parties, except in the cases set out below:

1.If listed in items 1. to 6. of the reasons for exception in “4. Third-Party Provision of Personal Information”

2.If providing to a third party in a country that sets forth provisions as a foreign country having a system for the protection of personal information that is recognized to be on the same level as Japan in protecting the rights and interests of an individual

3.If the implementation of measures in accordance with the objectives of Chapter IV, Section 2 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information is secured, by a proper and reasonable method, with the person receiving personal information with respect to the handling of such personal information by such person receiving personal information

4.If the person receiving personal information has received certification under an international framework regarding the handling of personal information

5.If there is consent of the individual that approves the provision to an overseas third party

If providing the Personal Information to an overseas third party, J.League will fully investigate the suitability of the recipient/entrustee in advance, and confirm that appropriate measures are being taken for the handling of personal information from the perspective of security, etc. Information concerning the foreign countries in which such third parties are located, information concerning the personal information protection systems in such foreign countries, and information concerning the measures taken by such third parties for the protection of personal information are as follows:

J.League will collect information concerning its users (cookies, etc.) and sends them to outside vendors for the purposes of developing and improving services, marketing surveys, provision of ads, analysis, improvement of user operability and convenience, and other purposes.
