One of the most important service items on your machine is the fuel tank filter. Any dirt entering the carburettor can be extremely costly to repair. Making sure that a top quality, correct fuel filter is fitted will ensure your fuel system is protected as it should be. 'Pattern' fuel filters are usually sub-standard, they may look the same, but rarely give the same degree of filtering or sometimes the filter's too fine causing running issues by restricting the fuel flow.
