TweetSafe, socially-distanced and still the best value comedy show in London, we are delighted to be returning to The Colonel Fawcett with more tremendous acts from the UK and International Festival circuit.
CATHERINE BOHARTCatherine Bohart is an award-winning comedian, writer and actor.
She started performing stand-up in 2015 and has enjoyed a rapid rise through the ranks of UK and Irish comedy. In 2016, she was a finalist in both the BBC New Comedy Awards and Funny Women, followed by more success in 2017 when she joined the prestigious Pleasance Comedy Reserve at the Edinburgh Fringe. In the past two years she has performed two critically acclaimed solo shows: ‘Immaculate’, an autobiographical hour about her life as the bisexual, OCD daughter of a Catholic deacon and ‘Lemon’ a show about smashing stereotypes around sex, sexuality and relationships.
HER burgeoning broadcasting career has seen her appear on E4's 8 Out of 10 Cats, Comedy Central UK’s Roast Battle, BBC2’s The Mash Report, Dave's Ultimate Worrier, ITV2's Stand Up Sketch Show and BBC NI's The Blame Game, as well as being a regular co-host on the podcasting phenomenon The Guilty Feminist.
A hugely deft writer and utterly beguiling performer, Catherine is fast becoming an unmissable comedy prospect.
"Packed full of laughs… she’s destined for great things." The Herald"A supremely natural quality about her delivery." The List"Pretty much the perfect comedy package.” Beyond the Joke
JOEY PAGEJoey is what you get right at the centre of the Venn diagram made up of wide-eyed surrealists, Brightonian hipsters and Cockney geezers. He’s been a winkle-picker wearing treasure of the circuit for a decade, delighting audiences with bizarre flights of fantasy mixing the sublime and the mundane.
“Brilliant – controlled chaos at its best.” Harry Hill“A head like a fantasy hand grenade.” Noel Fielding
SIKISA BOSTWICK-BARNESFrom South London, Barbadian citizen Sikisa delights crowds with her fearless, vivacious personality and on-stage presence.Having won the public's vote in the 2017 BBC New Comedy Award competition, for which she was a finalist, she has gone on to appear on Comedy Central and guest on James Acaster's new podcast series. Straddling both the stand-up and cabaret scene, she is a multi-talented charisma bomb and irresistible stage presence.
RUNI TALWARA regular at the Sydney Comedy Store, Runi has made his way to the UK just in time for the entire circuit to be shut down thanks to this pesky virus! We're delighted to be his first live gig back so you can enjoy his cheeky, irreverent, punchy stand-up that has already made him a big hit across the UK circuit.
AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:
BEN VAN DER VELDEOne of the quickest wits around and a much-loved compere, he always brings a jam-packed back of nonsense, silliness and wisecracks to every gig he hosts.
"Sharp and crafty gagsmith, a life-giving compere." Chortle
"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine
“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.” Huffington Post
