I have 2 curious books one copyright 1941 and a curious takes a job copyright 1947 how do I tell if they are 1st

The key identifying point is the '1941' on the title page, and no additional printings stated on the copyright page. The key identifying point is the '$1.75' price on the front dust jacket flap.
