Customer: Original issue. Wouldnt shift until certain speeds which was too high on rpm. Took tranny out and rebuilt. Added aftermarket parts sonnax drum and updated parts from nextgen diesel. I put it all together ran rough figured break in period. Figured valve body might have crossleak even with the bulletproof kit. I just installed new solenoid pack and new valve body. New fresh amsoil fluid. Still wont come out of first. High rpms no output to transmission or speed

I recently had my transmission out and installed the bullet proof center support kit. Updated the valve body,solenoid pack, 4c billet ring. Cherry bomb from nextgendiesel with sonnax drum. The truck ran great for about two weeks. The truck then started to slip. The rpm's would climb and it didnt want to upshift. The truck limped home at 50mph till the stoplight caught me, and then wouldnt come out of first gear approx 3 miles. Installef new pack and valve body thaught maybe issue with my diy. New fluids new filters. Still same issue. . P0731 p0732 p0733. Original issue and why i rebuilt was it wouldnt shift until higher rpms when it shouldve already shifted.

With the P0731 you may have an overrunning clutch failure. I'm posting info on all codes you posted. It is appearing that you are going to need to remove the trans again, or go ahead and replace it with a remanufactured unit...

Yes, that is the part. You must also inspect the outer ring which is attached to the transmission case for damage. Replace if damaged...

Be sure to use assembly lube and make sure the end play is correct during final assembly.

When you put it together make sure nothing is forced during reassembly. Everything should stack with ease and when installing the front pump and cover make sure end play is correct during the torquing procedure...

Everything went smooth on install dropped right into place end play good. Everything torqued. Installed torque converter under truck and installed everything. Filled fluids to proper level. Let truck warm up. Theres no bump when i put it into gear. But it is in gear. Went around the block rpm's high no speed and didnt shift into past 2nd when cooler. once warm, second loop around the block wouldnt come out of first. Revved over 2500rpm and no speed change. Im at a complete loss everything internal is brand new theres nothing bad its got brand new sonnax drum with new qpz frictions steals brand new 4c and center support kit. New overrunning clutch as you recommended. P0731 p0732 p0733 still present. I do have a service electronic throttle light that comes on. Pusher horn. Full delete with turbo back. Only thing i havnt changed in the drivetrain is the torque converter. Is that a possibility with the reactions its giving me? Or im bout to have to take it in for diagnostics at the dealership. Cant afford the repairs by someone else. Enlisted military.

Unfortunately, torque converter replacement during transmission overhaul is required, especially when clutch failure has occured. Any debris from internal failure ends up in the torque converter and is impossible to clean out of the torque converter. Also replacement of the transmission oil cooler is highly recommended. At minimum thoroughly flushing the transmission cooler is required. Also, did you replace the front pump during the overhaul? This should be replaced also when part failure has occured...
