Trying to remove a bathroom ceiling combination vent fan/light/heater unit which has a plastic grill plate and a light
I tried to use fingers to pry the edges away from the ceiling which has loosened the plastic grill plate from the ceiling but cannot get it totally off.
If you can post the picture, please do.
I suspect the make and model numbers are inside and not visible until the cover comes off.
If the site doesnt load the picture with the paper clip icon, then upload them CLICK HERE and once they upload to that site, they will show a link for Email and IM.
Copy and paste that link here.
Thanks
Here is the picture. I removed the lens cover to show the lamp and inside.
Trying to remember on those, been a while.
Yes there appear to be a half round plastic piece in the opening that you asked about a clip, but I couldn't seem to get it to do anything. I need to run upstairs and check for a screw behind the bulb. Will return in 5 minutes.
You found it!! When I unscrewed the bulb, it exposed a rounded screw cap which when unscrewed, dropped the plastic grill cover and light holder, supported by just the two electrical wires which power the lamp.
I can now undo the ugly yellow plastic grill and repaint it white.
Thank you for your help!!
Where did the rating window go in this thread??
Ok, thanks.
Excellent, thought it would be one of the two, so many variations over the years, hard to remember them all when not looking at it in person.
Thanks for the great pic, gave more detail to determine where the possible locations would be.
