4. Do you have a history of any respiratory problems or lung symptoms?
5. Do you have a history of smoking?
6. Please tell me your age and gender.
I would be glad to assist you.
Thank you for the reply. Are there any specific signs or symptoms that make you worry about your having lung cancer?
Thank you for the information. I appreciate your taking the time to share all the information.
I am preparing my response and I will post it in 10 to 15 minutes.
It seems that you had an upper respiratory tract infection. Most of these infections are caused by viruses, and sometimes they can lead to acute bronchitis.
Even if they don't lead to acute bronchitis, there can be lingering post-viral inflammation causing symptoms to persist, including coughing and a feeling of condition.
There might be slight narrowing of the airways along with inflammation, and that might be responsible for the feeling of tightness condition, decreased breath-holding capacity.
This should improve over the next few weeks, and you should be back to normal. There is nothing to suggest lung cancer as there is a very clear history of upper respiratory tract infection preceding the recovery phase where you still might have some symptoms.
Usually not more than 2 to 3 weeks. However for some people it can take longer.
Yes, that's correct.
