Wilson A2000 Fastpitch Gloves
A2000 is a name that resonates throughout all of the bat and ball sports. And when Wilson is crafting their A2000 gloves for fastpitch players, they go all in on the patterns, webs and colors used in the designs.
When it comes to considering an A2000, always be sure to consider their models that feature SuperSkin. This material was developed by their Glove Guru, Shigeaki Aso, with the inspiration being material that Wilson's basketball division used for an all-weather basketball. Get a look at the material below:
The benefits of SuperSkin are fourfold :
- Twice As Strong As Regular Leather
- Features Half The Weight Of Regular Leather
- Repels Moisture Better Than Leather
- Improves The Speed Of The Break-In Process
What Else To Know About A2000 Fastpitch Gloves:
- They are all built with a fit that is tailored to the female hand (will be snugger than a baseball glove).
- Each fastpitch A2000 is built with Wilson's famous Pro Stock Select leather that has been used on this line for years.
- Many will feature new Wilson technology advancements. Including gloves that feature SuperSkin & Spin Control.
Rawlings Liberty Advanced Fastpitch Gloves
Shop Rawlings Liberty Advanced
When you think of Rawlings, the Heart of the Hide series always seems to be top of mind. However, when it comes to fastpitch, we're thinking that the Liberty Advanced should take that number one space in your head!
First off, Rawlings is always shaking up the secondary colors on these gloves. Liberty Advanced models typically always have a primary color of white, but the lacing, welting and binding is usually quite electric.
This series of gloves and mitts is crafted with a full-grain leather shell that is quite soft and comes from the factory requiring only 30% of the break-in process to be completed by the player. Your player should be able to get it game-ready in fairly quick fashion.
One of the most popular Liberty Advanced gloves that we've carried is the Keilani Ricketts model shown above. It displays the gold binding and palm stamps. This 12.5" glove with a basket web gets the job done at nearly all positions due to the length and the closed webbing.
What Are Parents Saying About the Liberty Advanced Gloves?
"The adjustable wrist strap provides a secure fitting to the hand. I bought this for my 12 year old daughter and it has been a great glove!" - Paul, JustGloves Customer
Mizuno MVP Prime Fastpitch Gloves
When in doubt...go with a Mizuno glove! Seriously, Mizuno is making some of the best gloves out there and when you shop at JustGloves, you are going to find at least a portion of them at pretty reasonable prices.
These gloves sell below $200 and are going to offer quality well above their price tag. Just take the following customer's word for it...
"This an extremely well-built glove for the price. Fit's my daughter's hand perfectly and was easy to break in following normal break in procedures." - Rick, JustGloves Customer
Mizuno's longst tenured rendition of this mitt features smooth material that Mizuno calls their Bio-Sofft leather. In addition, they typically have come with a dominantly white color that is very popular among fastpitch players.
Other Reasons To Buy A Mizuno Pro Select Fastpitch Glove:
- Available in models that work for positions all over the field.
- Many models incorporate a velcro wrist strap that allows for quick size adjustments
Nokona Walnut Fastpitch Gloves
A lot of responsibility comes with being the last fastpitch glove maker that builds gloves in the United States. And Nokona takes on that responsibility with extreme dedication. They make their gloves with the utmost care and precision from the moment that the leather is cut, right to the moment that a glove is shipped out of their factory.
They have been crafting this Walnut series of gloves for many years and the rich brown cosmetics of this line calls on the long history of Nokona ball gloves. Meanwhile, the gloves feature all of the modern advances that players need.
In order to meet the demands of fastpitch players, Nokona crafts this glove with full grain steerhide (sometimes referred to as Walnut Crunch leather) that will be durable. At JustGloves, we feel that this leather could take a little bit of time to get into game ready shape (depending upon the preferences of the player). However, once you get the leather set to your preferences, it should be able to hold that shape for many seasons!
What Are JustGloves Customers Saying About the Nokona Walnut Fastpitch Gloves?
"Nice glove, my daughter is 14 and she loves it. I worked the glove the night that we received it and used a pitching machine the next morning to form the pocket and she used it in her game that night."
Marucci Palmetto Fastpitch Gloves
Marucci made a real splash in the fastpitch glove game over five years years ago when they released their Palmetto gloves and mitts for the first time.
With that initial release, the Palmettos became popular in softball circles due to them having a quick break-in period. That quick break-in was due to them being made from a cowhide that was quite soft to the touch.
Marucci has leveled things up since that initial launch. The latest Palmettos now have grey colored leather with white lacing and turquoise stitching that makes the glove look even better than previous models. As well, they switched over to a steerhide leather. Because of that, the new Palmettos should require a little more work to get fully broken in. However, if you see the process through, you'll be very happy with the glove or mitt you have at the end of the process.
One of our favorite aspects of the Palmetto gloves is the extended rawhide laces at the wrist closure that should ensure a secure fir for the player!
More Can't Miss Features of the Palmettos:
- Available For Positions All Over The Fastpitch Diamond.
- All Models Feature A Microfiber Wrist Lining That Will Rest Comfortably On The Backing Of A Player's Hand While In The Glove
- Designed To Have A Snugger Fitting For A Female Hand
