Caitlin Clark named to AP Preseason All-American team
On Tuesday, Hawkeye Sophomore Caitlin Clark was named for the Associated Press Preseason All-American team. The West Des Moines native is the first University of Iowa women's basketball player to be named for the team. Last season, Clark averaged 26.6 points, 7.1 assists and 5.9 rebounds per game. She was co-Freshman of the year and first-team All-America by The Athletic, USBWA and WBCA and second-team All-America by Associated Press. She also has been named Preseason Big 10 Player of the Year and was unanimously selected for Preseason All-Big 10 honors. She joins Junior Monika Czinano for Preseason All-Big 10 team. Czinano is a two-time All-Big 10 selection with an average of 19.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game last season.
