SIH Memorial Hospital of Carbondale staff raises $10,000 for Toys for Tots

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - SIH Memorial Hospital of Carbondale made an exciting announcement with a remarkable donation to Toys 4 Tots.
A completely employee-led effort from the staff on the 4-H Surgical Unit resulted in over $10,000 raised.
The effort among nurses, patient care techs and staff included a gift basket fundraiser during the month of November.
Toys 4 Toys said it is the largest local donation the organization has received since it was established in 1992.
The SIH Memorial Hospital of Carbondale Auxiliary also supported Toys for Tots with a separate $2,000 donation from Pink Geranium Gift Shop proceeds.
