The Oklahoma City City Council has approved an increase to admission prices at the Oklahoma City Zoo, officials announced Tuesday.Adult tickets will increase from $8 to $11, and tickets for children ages 3-11 and senior citizens will now cost $8. Parking will remain free.Along with the increased price of admission, the City Council approved changes to the ZOOfriends membership. Memberships include unlimited zoo admission for one year and several discount and event benefits.Zoo officials have not announced the change in the price for a ZOOfriends membership.The price increase will begin July 1. The increase is the Oklahoma City Zoo's first since January 2011.
