Cordillera Flavors Take Center Stage at KSU Food Exhibit

The vibrant culinary heritage of the Cordillera Administrative Region was on full display at the recent 1st Cordillera Food Exhibit held at the HRM Building, Kalinga State University on May 2, 2025. Organized by the College of Entrepreneurship, Tourism, and Hospitality Management (CETHM), the event was an introduction to the newly launched Hospitality Management Program in the university.

KSU Successfully Hosts 2025 Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection

Kalinga State University proudly hosted the 2025 Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) on April 24, 2025, held at the university grounds. The participating Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Kalinga include Cordillera A+ Computer Technology College, the International School of Asia and the Pacific, Kalinga State University, and St. Louis College of Bulanao.

DOST-SEI Opens Applications for Junior Level Science Scholarship Program

A face-to-face briefing was conducted on April 25, 2025, at the KSU Student Center by DOST- CAR Provincial Science and Technology Office- Kalinga representative, in partnership with the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT), to promote the opening of applications for the DOST-Science Education Institute’s (SEI) Junior Level Science Scholarship (JLSS) program.

KSU–Yookah Native Pig Project and PCC Ink MOA for Sustained Collaboration

The Kalinga State University Yookah Native Pig Project and the Philippine Carabao Center inked a memorandum of agreement for a sustained collaboration on KSU’s project on Genetic Structure Analysis and Development of Genetic Protocols for Traceability of Philippine Native Pig, led by the project leader, Ms. Sharmaine G. Codiam. It was held at the Research and Extension Training Center on April 24, 2025.

CEIT’s Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Program Strengthens its Extension Project through Community Impact Assessment

April 10, 2025. KSU’s Core Faculty of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) under the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) intensified their effort in their research & extension projects through their conduct of Impact assessment to their selected recipients coming from Tabuk National High School, Bantay Extension Teachers and Pinukpuk Vocational School Teachers and staff.

Kalinga State University Strengthens National Research Engagement through Co-Hosting of the 11th National Social Science Congress

Kalinga State University participated in the 4th Loretta Makasiar Sicat Prize for the Social Sciences awarding ceremony and the accompanying scientific lecture titled "Filipino Reception and Appropriation of Modern Astronomical Knowledge, 1859–1958," delivered by Mr. Emmanuel Jason V. Bolata of the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP), on April 11, 2025, at the Pilar Herrera Hall, CSSP, University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City.

DICT Boosts Internet Connectivity for KSU-Dagupan Students

KSU-DAGUPAN CAMPUS - The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has activated a Starlink Satellite unit at KSU-Dagupan, operational as of April 11, 2025. This breakthrough delivers reliable, free internet access to all 1,615 registered students—and extends connectivity to nearby establishments within a 200-meter radius. DICT Kalinga Provincial Officer Ms. Mona Lisa Vizcarra spearheaded coordination efforts in March 2025, conducting an on-site visit to fast-track the satellite’s deployment.
