BUILDING MINDFUL FUTURES: A PRE-PRACTICUM FORMATION FOR 3RD YEAR CETHM STUDENTS “Pause – Ponder – Pray”

APRIL 25, 2025. As part of their preparation for their upcoming internships, 3rd year students from the College of Entrepreneurship, Tourism and Hospitality Management (CETHM) participated in the “Building Mindful Futures” program, focusing on self-awareness, cultural understanding, and spiritual reflection.

KSU–Yookah Native Pig Project and PCC Ink MOA for Sustained Collaboration

The Kalinga State University Yookah Native Pig Project and the Philippine Carabao Center inked a memorandum of agreement for a sustained collaboration on KSU’s project on Genetic Structure Analysis and Development of Genetic Protocols for Traceability of Philippine Native Pig, led by the project leader, Ms. Sharmaine G. Codiam. It was held at the Research and Extension Training Center on April 24, 2025.

Dagupan Campus Revitalizes Security Formation to Boost Readiness, Professionalism, and Campus Safety

Tabuk City- April 7, 2025. The Dagupan Campus General Services Office (GSO) today launched a Security Guard Formation, signaling a renewed commitment to campus safety and operational excellence. Held immediately after the morning Flag Ceremony, the session underscored the university’s proactive stance on security preparedness, professional development, and alignment with institutional priorities.

CEIT’s Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Program Strengthens its Extension Project through Community Impact Assessment

April 10, 2025. KSU’s Core Faculty of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) under the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) intensified their effort in their research & extension projects through their conduct of Impact assessment to their selected recipients coming from Tabuk National High School, Bantay Extension Teachers and Pinukpuk Vocational School Teachers and staff.

KSU-CEIT Holds Send-Off Mass for 2025 Electrical Engineering Board Examinees

The College of Engineering and Information Technology, under the deanship of Dr. Ronald U. Wacas conducted a send-off mass for the 2025 takers of the Electrical Engineering Licensure examinations. It was held at the student center today, April 21, 2025.

The ceremony was held for the first batch of graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering program, who will take the board exams on April 23–24, 2025 in Baguio City. According to Engr. Christian B. Adora, program chairperson, four (4) pioneer graduates will be taking the exam.

Kalinga State University Strengthens National Research Engagement through Co-Hosting of the 11th National Social Science Congress

Kalinga State University participated in the 4th Loretta Makasiar Sicat Prize for the Social Sciences awarding ceremony and the accompanying scientific lecture titled "Filipino Reception and Appropriation of Modern Astronomical Knowledge, 1859–1958," delivered by Mr. Emmanuel Jason V. Bolata of the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP), on April 11, 2025, at the Pilar Herrera Hall, CSSP, University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City.

DICT Boosts Internet Connectivity for KSU-Dagupan Students

KSU-DAGUPAN CAMPUS - The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has activated a Starlink Satellite unit at KSU-Dagupan, operational as of April 11, 2025. This breakthrough delivers reliable, free internet access to all 1,615 registered students—and extends connectivity to nearby establishments within a 200-meter radius. DICT Kalinga Provincial Officer Ms. Mona Lisa Vizcarra spearheaded coordination efforts in March 2025, conducting an on-site visit to fast-track the satellite’s deployment.

KSU YOOKAH Project Strengthens Collaboration with PCC for Genetic Research on Native Pigs

The KSU YOOKAH research project received a significant boost as a team from the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, visited the university today, March 5, 2025. The PCC team conducted a meeting with the YOOKAH project proponents, led by Project Leader Ms. Sharmaine Codiam, to discuss collaborative efforts in advancing research on the genetic traits of native pigs.

KSU-College of Education Conducts Benchmarking on Teacher Education Program at PNU-NL

Kalinga State University conducted a benchmarking visit to Philippine Normal University North Luzon (PNU-NL), Alicia, Isabela on March 7, 2025, to enhance its Teacher Education Program and institutional best practices.

Dr. Agnes S. Reyes, Executive Director and Provost of PNU-NL, expressed her warm welcome to the KSU delegation and emphasized the importance of collaboration in strengthening teacher education program. She also highlighted that this initiative fosters knowledge-sharing to improve academic and research capabilities.
