The Max Weyersberg Waffenfabrik (WMW) company was founded in 1920. It registered with the Solingen authorities on July 6, 1933. WMW specialized in manufacturing: cutlery, sporting and hunting knives and edged weapons. Their Hitler Youth knife is "Nr. 303" as featured in their Early era sales catalog. In 1935, the company was located on Grünstraße. They received their RZM M7/12 license that same year. In 1939, the business was located at Katternberger Straße 176. WMW manufactured: SA/NSKK, Army and Luftwaffe daggers, bayonets, hirschfängers and swords etc. After the end of the Second World War, WMW began trading as "Weyersberg & Sohn." The business closed and ceased production on March 12, 1956.
