Cavite is the most densely populated province in the Philippines, with over four million people living in the region according to 2020 data. It’s a culturally significant location, as it was the site of the Tejeros Convention and the Battle of Binakayan. Today, the area’s thriving industrial and commercial sectors and blossoming residential communities attract many people from all walks of life.
The city’s diverse housing market has been steadily drawing aspiring homeowners with more purchasing power to the area, particularly those who are interested in convenient township living. Cavite is quickly becoming a prime area for modern township projects outside of Metro Manila that provide everything residents need in one convenient location. Many residents who work in Metro Manila choose to settle down in Cavite because of its idyllic setting, preferring to get the best of both urban and provincial living. For career driven residents, Cavite cities such as Bacoor, Cavite City, Dasmariñas, General Trias, Imus, Tagaytay, and Trece Martires are popular residential options.
Cavite was an integral part of the Philippines’ colonial history, particularly the country’s fight for independence, so much so that it’s also known as the “Land of the Brave” and the “Historical Capital of the Philippines.” The most significant historical event to happen here is the Philippine Declaration of Independence on June 12th, 1989, in Kawit, Cavite.

Many of Cavite’s cities are top vacation destinations that visitors from across the globe flock to. Tagaytay is the main tourist hotspot in the region, with thousands of people visiting the area to get a magnificent view of Taal Lake and Taal Volcano from the Tagaytay ridge or to go horseback riding. Other top attractions here include Fort San Felipe and Sangley Point in Cavite City, the former island fortress of Corregidor, and the Andres Bonifacio House in General Trias.
Cavite’s economy is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with. With over twelve economic zones, a healthy workforce, and a thriving industrial and agricultural industry, the region of Cavite is establishing itself as an economic powerhouse to rival the nearby metropolis of Metro Manila.
One of the standout commercial hubs in the vicinity is The Square in Lancaster New City. This sprawling 6-hectare lifestyle complex is complete with restaurants, retail shops, a supermarket, salons, a bayad center, a drugstore, and several health clinics. Thriving developments like these are responsible for the rise of Cavite’s reputation as a robust commercial center.
Cavite’s economy is mainly dependent on agriculture. Despite undergoing massive industrialization and urbanization over the years, many Cavitenos still depend on agricultural activities as their main source of income. The major crops found here are corn, rice, vegetables, root crops, fruits, coconut, coffee, and sugarcane. There are also plenty of coastal and offshore fishing grounds across the province.
Cavite has twelve economic zones that cater to everything from garments and textiles to food processing. Among the most notable economic zones in the region are Lancaster New City in Imus, Kawit, and General Trias, and Twin Lakes Tagaytay in Alfonso.
The MetroCas Industrial Estates Special Economic Zone (MIE-SEZ) that will soon rise in Barangay Calibuyo, Tanza, Cavite, is one of the two special ecozones declared through Proclamation No. 512, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on April 1, 2024. It is expected to attract over Php 1.8 billion in new investments and nearly 200 new jobs during its construction.
Cavite boasts an impressive 800,000-strong labor force comprising 55% of their total population. In February 2023, Cavite’s employment rate was 95.2%, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority. Most of these laborers are employed in the forestry, agriculture, tourism, trade, and industry sectors. The region also has a low underemployment rate of 9%. 2021 data showed that Cavite’s literacy rate is 99.66%, which means the area produces a consistent surge of proficient, highly skilled workers. Cavite also has one of the highest numbers of farmers, thanks to the availability of vast plantations and highly mechanized operations.

Urban centers such as Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, and Metro Davao are becoming more congested, and land prices continue to soar. To respond to the increasing demand for residential spaces offering a home and lifestyle, developers are creating condo projects within townships such as the ones located in Cavite, near Metro Manila. Condos in Cavite aim to offer a complete package of essential establishments and amenities near home.
During the Lamudi webinar in collaboration with Westwind at Lancaster New City last January 2024, industry experts explained that the urbanization of cities outside Metro Manila has been a critical factor in the rising demand for residential options, particularly in condos in Cavite.
In the same event, Lamudi Philippines shared, “Cavite was the most viewed location for condominium projects, with the added infrastructure developments and incentives, as it is becoming more interesting to look at condo investments in South [Luzon].”
Here are other primary reasons why there is a surge in demand for condos in Cavite:
