It was sad to leave Grant Lake. It was such a perfect place to camp but it was time to move on. We love adventuring out on hikes when we are visiting new areas and our friend told us about a really cool hike that was super close to us and not too hard. I am getting older so we have to find shorter hikes. Gone are the days where we would venture out for an all day hike. But we will take what we can and the good news is, I am small enough that mommy can carry me!
Parker Lake hike was off of the 158 not far from Grant Lake. We had to drive back a dirt road and there was a parking lot at the end. The trail head was clearly marked. We ventured off and we had a short climb….
The views were super cool….
Then we got in the Aspen Trees. They are mommy’s favorite…..
The best part was we got to hike along a creek and I got to go swimming…..
At about 2.5 miles, we came upon Parker Lake and it was beautiful….
We hung out on a log and enjoyed the view for a little while…
Then we took off to see if we could find a trail that would go the entire way around the lake. We got about 1/2 way and the trail ended but the water was so clear….
And the flowers were so pretty…
It was such a perfect day to be on the trail. It got a little warm toward the end so I took a little break…
Mommy had to carry me down some of the rocks cause going down hurts my feet. It was a cool view of Mono Lake…
I hope that you enjoy the hike as much as we did. The entire thing with the little added part was 5.4 miles even though a lot of the websites say that it is shorter, that is what we got. Totally worth it and we highly recommend it!
Have fun!
