Parkland High School stays alive in PIAA Class AAA team tournament

quest for third place at the

PIAA Class AA team wrestling

tournament remained alive tonight after the

Trojans defeated District 3 runner-up Spring Grove 34-18

in a second-round consolation match at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pa.

Parkland (16-4) trailed 9-3 after four bouts in a match that started at 145 pounds but rallied with strong performances from

Nezar Haddad

(182),

Omar Haddad

(195),

Shaun Heist

(220) and

Jacob Lizak

(106) to take control over the Rockets (24-3).

The Trojans will meet District 1 champ Owen J. Roberts in a third-round consolation match at 9 a.m. Saturday.
