Queenmaker Plot/Synopsis
Netflix’s description of the series reads, “After a tragic accident, a powerful fixer uses her skills to transform a civil rights lawyer into the next mayor — and take down her former employer.” It is the story of two women who have led very different lives from each other. On one hand is Hwang Do-hee, the leader of the Strategic Planning Office at Eunsung Group who is the best in the field on image making for the CEOs & other leaders.
On the other hand, Oh Kyung Sook is a human rights lawyer who works for the justice of the common people. She is nicknamed ‘rhino’s horn’ for her rebellious nature as she forces her way through corrupt practices & injustice. For years Do-hee has been the one to take care of all the issues that might come into the Eunsung Group way. But when she is thrown under the bus in one case, she decides to show them what she is actually capable of.

Joining hands with Hyung-sook to make her the next mayor of Seoul seems like the only thing on her mind. While Kyung-sook doesn’t want to get into the world of dirty politics, upon realising that she can be even more helpful as a power figure, brings her into the game. Both strong-headed ladies often find themselves on different pages but despite their differences, they have only one goal – to get the mayor’s position.
In the trailer, it seems to be a long and dirty fight as the other mayor candidate from the Eunsung group is ready to play tricks up his sleeve, to malign Kyung-sook’s image & win votes for himself. What will the final result be, we will be finding out in the series.
