The season starts from where the last season ends — Miren is now a well-known writer of ‘The Snow Girl’ a book detailing everything that happened in season 1 along with her own story. During a book launch event, she gets a package delivered to her asking whether she would like to play a game and inside she finds the Polaroid of a girl being tortured. She realises that it’s Laura and dives headfirst into figuring out the story behind her disappearance years ago.

Meanwhile, Belén starts to investigate the horrifying murder of Allison, a student of Los Arcos, in an abandoned building. Elsewhere, Miren ends up on a shady website through clues left by a mysterious figure that opens up her life to The Soul Game. Of course, the game breadcrumbs her to participate in its wild tasks in order to give away information on Allison and Laura, making her go through more and more dangerous tasks. Belén also suspects Nacho’s uncle Cristóbal, because he is a religious fundamentalist who had a connection with Allison. Compounded by the fact that both Allison and Laura were pregnant at the time, throws everything haywire for both Miren and Belén.

With rising tensions, it is Jaime who talks to a previous teacher of Los Arcos and realises that Garrido and Alberto had started The Soul Game during their time at the school and they realise that, as the principal, Garrido might still be continuing it. He further learns about the ties that Allison and Laura’s disappearance has with the website Slide. They share the information with Belén, who arrests Garrido after getting Allison’s bloody Bible from his room. Unfortunately, due to lack of evidence they have to let him go, while Miren continues to play the game.

The Snow Girl Season 2 finale showcases a shocking turn of events — Nacho shares that he played the game with Miren because he wanted her to hurt as much as him because she didn’t go through with her promise of finding Laura. Miren pretends to pass out in order to get out of the restraints and when Nacho falls for her trap, she attacks him to get free. She runs out and finds herself back on the beach with Nacho after her. Facing her worst fears once more, she fights with Nacho, who stabs her.

Meanwhile, Belén reaches the hideout as well and finds Broja’s dead body. As they go through the compound, Miren finds the last amount of strength in her body to stab Nacho as well. In the end, Belén finds Miren and we hear her croak as the ambulance approaches. One year later, Laura gives an interview to Jaime suggesting that she was happy with her choices and chose to leave everything behind after falling in love with Alberto and thus sinning in front of god. The Snow Girl Season 2 Ending Explained: Still

In the last episode of The Snow Girl Season 2, we see police raiding a nondiscrepit compound and after going through a maze of rooms comes across a hidden room filled with Slide videos, one marked with Miren’s name. The series doesn’t show where she is, but it is made apparant that she hasn’t died. Considering the police are still investigating the snuff film organisation so thoroughly, I think Miren is still alive and working from the shadows. Is she working with Belén? Or with some higher organisation with deeper reach? With the way the season ends, there’s still hope that the series returns — but we will have to wait for official word from Netflix!
