Honors Biology aims to give students an introductory overview of biological concepts. The class will focus on exploring and making connections between each of the seven major characteristics shared by all living things on Earth. In addition, students will be guided through the process of scientific inquiry as they progress from teacher-led labs to student-developed investigations by the end of the school year.

The class extends beyond the scope of a college-prep class by challenging students to go more in depth in certain areas of study and to take part in diverse projects, experiments, and discussions earlier than they would in general biology.
