Beautiful black leather jumpsuit: Off the peg and a perfect fit

I love end of season fashion sales! In years gone by, come sale time, you could be guaranteed to find me walking up and down the sale rails quite literally sniffing out the leathery bargains. That is one of the things that I have missed in 2020 thanks the coronavirus. Instead, I’ve had to rely on websites and hoping that they have labelled their materials accurately. When I stumbled across this black leather jumpsuit by Lab Leather in the Asos January sales at a rock bottom price, I couldn’t resist giving it a go. If the worst happened and it wasn’t quite right, I could always return it.

One thing I never trust the size number on a label. If I am buying second hand, then I will ask for the actual measurements. More often than not when I buy online, it is from a label that I already have in collection and so I have a rough idea of their tailoring because I can refer to items I have here. This black leather jumpsuit was from a label that I hadn’t come across before. Luckily for me, they had the foresight to link to a sizing and fit guide. Checking that against my measurements I almost jumped for joy when the size that was still in stock matched me, albeit only on paper.

When my goodies finally arrived, I carefully unwrapped the parcel and hung my new black leather jumpsuit up to relax out some of the creases. I have to say that it looked as though it would fit me, so when I got round trying it on I was so delighted that it did. The icing on the cake however was the fact that it felt like it had been tailor made for me.

As is so often the case, I had hoped to wear it fairly soon after purchase, but for various reasons, this didn’t happen. I finally found the perfect opportunity to slip into the beautiful black leather jumpsuit when I reached, and held 1000 followers on Instagram. I was so delighted with the fit and quality of the catsuit, I needed to ensure that the footwear and gloves did it justice.

Many years ago, I had my heart set on adding a pair of classic black leather court shoes to my wardrobe. At the time it was nigh on impossible to get a pair that weren’t embellished in some way shape or form. Cutting my losses, I invested in a pair from Dolcis that had some nice silver studding around them. With the black leather jumpsuit having short legs that showed off my ankle tattoo, and silver studs on the jumpsuit’s belt loops, these were exactly the pair of shoes to go for.

The studding on the shoes also brought to mind a pair of gloves that I have been known to wear with them on more than one occasion. Once again they were by my favourite purveyor of gloves, Dents. The pure black leather was a beautiful match for the texture and lustre of the jumpsuit.

With the time that I spent admiring myself in the finished outfit, it took a lot longer than usual to get around to taking some photos. Not only did I make sure that I took plenty of photos to cover every aspect of the outfit, but I also got some lovely slow-motion video of myself walking around the house in it. Love the way you wear your leather. I happened upon your page while sitting at a local pub in my leather pants and leather button up shirt. Very sexy?❤️?
