Over the past 30 months, I have been an advisor, partner, customer, employee, or technical evaluator of 19 soil MRV & Measurement organizations. I’m a personal fan of the people behind Regrow Ag’s success, which has arguably been better than any other in the soil carbon sector. 🥇Awards: Most influential Ag Company, Top Ag Startup, Boldest AgriTech 🤝Partners: Most recognizable set of high margin food & ag customers 💰Investors: Best of breed investors (strategic & institutional) that are well connected and have deep pockets Most post I've seen stop here and end on a very positive note with a 🚀 and call to action to comment, like, or repost (but that isn’t enough). Behind these numbers are real humans. Purpose driven individuals, working long hours, for deferred compensation (tied to future outcomes). These professionals have networks that are mostly other climate professionals who would love to hire them but don't have the budget to do so. If we want more humans to work in climate, we are going to have to find better ways to support the humans that work in climate. There are plenty of great organizations trying to help train and move people into this industry (Work on Climate, OnePointFive (opf.degree)) and at the same time I see more of my personal network with 10+ years of experience exiting the unstable climate of the climate industry. REQUEST FOR HELP - if you work in food, ag, or tech: 1. Remote Jobs - Ask HR to switch job openings to allow remote workers 2. Payment Terms - Ask Procurement to provide shorter payment terms for climate companies 3. Software/Services - Ask IT to share unused licenses & paid resources to climate job seekers
