We’ve all seen it – a shopfront or office building late at night, screens glowing brightly in the darkened space. It’s an unnecessary waste. 🌱 #ChromeOS is always looking for ways to help you manage your business more sustainably and efficiently. ⏰ That’s why we’ve introduced a simple solution that allows you to schedule your kiosk and signage devices to sleep, saving energy and reducing costs. 🌍 It’s a win for both the planet and your bottom line. I think it would be incredible to create screens so efficient that this becomes a nonissue. I'm a huge fan of the nightlife aesthetic, and would love to see a time where the lights all come on at night, and stay on--all without harming the planet. More and more people are becoming "nocturnal" and would prefer night life to day life, but the world needs to adapt to the increasing needs of a 24/7 operational lifestyle. For this we need to create infrastructure capable of enabling a 24/7 industry, where the city never sleeps. This requires increasing sustainability as a 24/7 lifestyle would more than double energy needs and requirements as a whole.
