BCU Business School students lead in international competition.
BCU Business School students participating in the Emerald Forest management competition visit the HQ of car maker Audi in the German city of Ingolstadt.
The BCU students joined an international group of students at the city’s Katholische Universität. The students were joined by BCUBS lecturers Martin Beaver, Margaret Saunders, and David McGee.
The students set up a fictitious hotel, position it against its competition and turn a profit. The field trip to the German car maker's HQ in Ingolstadt was designed to understand the city’s potential tourist attractions.
‘The students need to understand what would be a draw for potential guests to the city. Once they understand this, they can develop a value proposition for a hotel and communicate this to potential guests,’ said business department teaching fellow David McGee.
