Hour by hour Met Office forecast for Merseyside as Liverpool shrouded in mist
The mist is set to continue into the weekend
Liverpool and rest of the region is shrouded in fog once again this morning. On Boxing Day, people woke up to a thick layer of mist which has added a "murky" layer to the air.
It was so bad on Wirral, that this afternoon's match between Tranmere Rovers and Accrington Stanley at Prenton Park was called off. The fog has continued today, Friday, December 27, and doesn't look like it's clearing until Sunday.
The Met Office said Friday will be another "mostly cloudy and rather murky day" with slow clearing fog and patchy drizzle at times, especially over higher ground. The occasional brighter spell is possible, mainly during the afternoon.
