Four Seasons Hotel Miami Completes Renovation

Four Seasons Hotel Miami Completes Renovation
As Miami's Brickell neighborhood continues to emerge as the city's "go to" destination for dining, shopping and nightlife, Four Seasons Hotel Miami - the hotel that set the area's renaissance in motion with its 2003 opening - emerges with a fresh modern look that embraces the local aesthetic.

As the crown jewel of renovation, Edge, Steak and Bar offers Miami foodies as well as downtown Miami's power crowd a non-traditional menu of high-quality, interesting cuts of meat (many in smaller portions than usually expected in a steakhouse), indigenous seafood and locally-sourced produce in a modern space.

Designed by NY restaurant design powerhouse Avroko, the restaurant is hip, yet comfortable with an emphasis on natural materials such as linen-covered walls and leather booths. A central marble bar lit up by a bevy of brass glass lamps dominates the space. An expansive outdoor oasis will be added to Edge in March and will feature a gorgeous patio overlooking the Hotel's two-acre pool area and of downtown Miami. This fully landscaped terrace - protected from the elements by a trellised canopy - will serve as a casual yet sexy outdoor living room complete with relaxing fire pits, shimmering candles and lush greenery. An extension of the bar scene, guests will seamlessly gather in the space: lounges for small groups, communal tables ideal for mingling, and romantic retreats to ensure a memorable date night.

The rooms and suites were designed in a palette of slate and blue with brown and red accents. Dramatic headboards in light sycamore and mother-of-pearl textured lacquer add a sense of drama and contemporary flair. Each room's views were enhanced with built-in, deep-cushioned window seats and fabric-surround treatments that frame postcard views rather than covering them. Additional highlights include bolsters in vibrant colors that invite lounging. Desks are outfitted with modern, anatomic chairs and work lighting that focus on productivity and comfort. Competing with the views are original works by Miami-based artists Bruce Tolman, Annie Wharton and Vickie Pierre, all part of the Hotel's prized art collection.

Three 2,190 sq.ft. apartment style premier suites were designed with individual furnishings and colors for a unique look. Walls of windows in the living room and separate bedroom offer views that stretch south and east over the bay towards Key Biscayne. Each suite includes a dining room for 6, service pantry to allow for discrete service and a powder room.

The presidential suite features modern Murano crystal chandeliers, a dining room to accommodate 8 people is serviced butler style from a separate service area. In the bedroom a majestic four-poster bed and sitting area leads to a dressing space where a cedar-lined closet was designed to fit 100 ensembles.

On the pool terrace, new day beds and improvements to signature services and amenities, including Evian spritzes, cool towels and butler-passed frozen treats, enhance the Hotel's urban resort ambiance.
