I had cinnamon sugar chips at a baby shower I went to recently and they were so good I kept going back for more! I decided I wanted to give them a try myself and they turned out great, not to mention they were super easy!! This is a great dessert, appetizer or snack and kids will love it too! I topped it with a strawberry puree, but you could do fruit salsa, melted chocolate or whatever your fancy. I can’t wait to make these for our next party!
Baked Cinnamon Sugar Chips
Source: Our Best Bites, method inspired by Food Network
Ingredients:
6 taco sized (small) flour tortillas
1 tbsp. melted butter
3/4 cup sugar
4 tsp. cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
In a small bowl, melt butter in microwave for 30 seconds. Set aside.
In another small bowl stir together the cinnamon & sugar. Set aside.
Take one tortilla and brush it with the melted butter on both sides. Take the second tortilla and stack on top of the first tortilla and brush the top with melted butter (this way you only have to brush the tops after the first tortilla). Repeat for all tortillas. Once tortillas are stacked and buttered, cut the stack into six equal triangles. Take each triangle and dip each one into the cinnamon sugar mixture knocking off any excess and place on the baking sheet. Repeat for each triangle. Be sure triangles are spread out evenly on the baking sheet so that they don’t get soggy. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Allow to cool completely. Top with your favorite fruit puree, fruit salsa, or even better melted chocolate!
*You will have cinnamon sugar left over, but just store it in an air tight container for next time or use on toast or to top a baked sweet potato.
These look so simple & delish! Will definitely be trying these this weekend!

So that’s how you make these Cinnamon Sugar Chips. Always wondered how Trader Joe’s made their Pita chops. Thanks for the recipe. These look fantastic! Hope you don’t mind but we are going to copy this recipe and make it with our Ceylon Cinnamon Sugar.
Hope you enjoy it!
Just made these – they were great! I especially love them a little soft. They’ll also be great with a sugar glaze to dip them in.
So glad you loved them! I bet they would be great with a sugar glaze! Great idea!:)
dID YOU JUST PUREE THE STRAWBERRIES OR DO YOU HAVE A RECIPE FOR THAT TOO THAT YOU CAN SHARE WITH US?

To make it super summer-y, chop up a bunch of different fruits (Kiwi, strawberries, blueberries etc) and throw them in a bowl. Makes a super yummy “dipping” sauce and definitely makes it have a summer feel
Great idea Callie! Thanks!:)
I have made these deep fried but I Am definitely going to try baked! I serve them with a sweet cream chees dip. So yummy.
That sounds fabulous Jenny!
The cinnamon chips are great i also use smooth riccotta cheese with honey dizzled over the top of the ricOtta/cheese yummmie!!
Thanks for the recepie ?
Can you sub coconut oil for butter to make them vegan?
I’m sure that should work just fine
will iT stay fresh if i make it in the morning?
They should be alright if you store them in an airtight container
the first batch didnt turn out so good they were were crunhy i dont know if theIr supposed to be hArd but i didnt like the first batch, the second batch wakinda soggy but better!so they kinda turned Out well.
They should be crunchy like chips, maybe adjust the cooking time since all ovens cook differently. They are better when served with the fruit salsa or a dip
ok thanks!
Can you deep fry them, if so what temperature and how LONG to fry.
I’m sure you could fry them but I’m not sure about the temperature. I would think it would not take long, just watch very closely.
Just took these out of the oven & my house smells amazing. Made them to go with my cannoli dip!
Sounds wonderful Abby! Glad you enjoyed them!
