13a High Street, Windsor
A new bar and restaurant will open in Windsor High Street after it was given the go-ahead by the council’s licensing team.
Incognito Holdco Limited required a new premises licence to open at 13a High Street after the previous owner’s licence lapsed.
The applicant, Nick Robinson, has been granted a licence for late-night refreshments and the sale and supply of alcohol from Sunday to Thursday 11am to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 11am to 1am.
During the council’s licensing panel sub-committee meeting on December 20, Mr Robinson said the premises could open to the public as early as February.
Cocktail bar and restaurant, Incognito, has branches in Winchester, Richmond and Kingston and is known for its ‘multi-sensory’ experience with table service.
Mr Robinson said the premises will run as a restaurant and did not seek an entertainment licence.
The application faced one written objection from resident, Brian Bell, who said the 1am closing time ran the risk of ‘significant disturbance’ to the ‘heavily residential’ area, as patrons leave the premises.
Mr Robinson told the meeting in December that his other Incognito sites have ‘never had a single noise complaint or any troubles whatsoever’.
He said Incognito has a staggered table booking system, expecting no more than 20 customers to leave the premises at closing time, to prevent disturbance.
Windsor and Maidenhead council confirmed the licensing and public space protection order sub-committee agreed to a premises licence on Thursday, January 4.
The opening hours of the venue are 11am to 12.30am from Sunday to Thursday, closing an hour later at 1.30am on Fridays and Saturdays.
