Grade three and four Special Religious Instruction students have made Christmas cards and bonbons to give to people in the program.
Teacher Yolande Grosser said students worked on their creations for about three weeks, and finished on Tuesday.
“The kids have put some really thoughtful words in their cards, and it’s all in their gorgeous nine and 10-year-old handwriting,” she said.
“Some also drew pictures and wrote poems. They took it very seriously.
“The students are conscious the Meals on Wheels people might not have anyone to share Christmas with or get other gifts.”
It's easy to get swept up in the hype of receiving gifts, so it's nice to do some gift giving.

Mrs Grosser said it was the second year she had co-ordinated the project with her Special Religious Instruction classes.
“Jackie Bennett co-ordinates Meals on Wheels for Horsham Rural City Council, and when I rang her this year about doing the project again, she jumped at the chance,” she said.
“It’s good for the children to realise there's possibly someone less fortunate than themselves. It's easy to get swept up in the hype of receiving gifts, so it's nice to do some gift giving.”
