Aldi is bringing its school event back, offering a full uniform for a bargain £5.

The specialbuy, introduced from next month, lets parents get their hands on two polo shirts, a sweatshirt and a skirt or trousers for £5.

The retailer announced the offer on its Facebook page today, where parents were praising the quality of the uniform they have bought from Aldi in previous years.

Lorraine Baker said: " I brought polo shirts from M&S last year then grabbed some more when in Aldi. When I put them together they looked exactly the same, but yours were less then half the price. They have lasted my son all year. I will definitely be back this year."

Emma Brown added: "Will be buying Aldi school uniform again this year just as we have done for the past few years. Such fab quality for such fab prices."

The items will be in stores from July 13 and available to pre-order online from July 6.

Its range also includes school shoes, sports kits, school bags, pens, pencil cases and more.

Tony Baines, managing director for corporate buying at Aldi, said: “It is no secret that sending the kids back to school can be financially demanding, which is why we’re doing everything we can to offer parents the best quality products at the lowest possible price.
