Reporter John is a minor character that appears in Game & Wario. Being a reporter dog, he is comparable to Ken and Rocky the Reporter.
At the start of the game, Wario is seen watching his television. After flicking through several channels, he finds one where a man is seen playing a game. John then appears, stating that a new method of playing video games, that with two screens, is launching. He then states that "this system is as cool as it gets". This inspires Wario to design games to earn large quantities of money.
Later in the game, after the Pirates minigame, John reappears, reporting at Toy Express that the game is a hit, and that the fans are excited. Captain Wario intrudes on the report, shocking John, and comments that he designed the game. John is not seen for the rest of the cutscene.
While John does not appear in WarioWare Gold, Ben's Rank A character card mentions that he follows in the footsteps of the reporters Ken and John, and that the three of them sometimes have lunch together.
