Michal Smrkovsky holds a master’s degree in German and Czech language and literature from Charles University in Prague (2019) and is currently pursuing a doctorate in German literature. In addition to his work as a teacher, he is also enrolled in an accredited training program in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. His research topics mainly include Prague German literature, psychoanalysis, and creativity in literature education.
