Innovative Cropping Systems
A section of Agronomy (ISSN 2073-4395).
Section Information
Agriculture faces the grand challenge of meeting the needs of a growing human population while reducing environmental impact. It is imperative to develop innovative cropping systems that produce high crop yields while addressing environmental, economic, and social concerns to improve global food security. The Innovative Cropping Systems section welcomes novel original research articles and reviews on recent advances in cropping systems relating to the following topics:
- Cereal-based cropping systems
- Legume-based cropping systems
- Pulse-based cropping systems
- Oilseed-based cropping systems
- Bioenergy cropping systems
- Perennial cover cropping systems
- Perennial grain cropping systems
- Integrated crop-livestock systems
- Aridland cropping systems
- Tropical cropping systems
- Lowland cropping systems
- Subsistence cropping systems
- Double cropping
- Relay cropping
- Intercropping
- Alley cropping
- Conservation tillage
