Jessica W's Story
What should have been the happiest of times for Jessica – the birth of her daughter – didn’t go as planned when she fell ill with suspected meningitis in August this year. The 31-year-old from Wakefield in West Yorkshire is making a good physical recovery, but mentally the trauma is still very much on her mind, as she tells us here.

Amy S’s story
Amy, from Kilsyth in North Lanarkshire, contracted viral meningitis at the age of 25 in November this year. Her symptoms included head pressure and headache, photophobia, body aches, sinusitis and vomiting. Fortunately treatment was prompt, but she’s still suffering some symptoms and struggling to get back to normal, as she tells us here.

Students smash their fundraising target
Students and staff from King Edward VI School (KES) – William Shakespeare’s school in Stratford-upon-Avon – have raised an amazing £26,000 towards our ongoing work after we were selected as their Charity of the Year.

Dom’s Atlantic Coast Challenge
This October Dom ran three marathons in three days as part of the Atlantic Coast Challenge. He completed this challenge to raise money in memory of his cousin Emily who sadly died from meningitis in 2014. He has raised an incredible £1,071 which will go towards those impacted by meningitis. Dom shares his story below.

The Facebook Fundraising Challenge is on. This year we are challenging supporters to do 100 squats a day in January to show their support and raise vital funds for Meningitis Now. Raise £100 and you’ll receive your very own Squats Save Lives medal!
