Description
Tall Green Milkweed Seeds, Asclepias hirtella is native to most of the Eastern half of the US but not along the costal states.
Plant description: Golf ball size blooms start at the middle of 3′-3.5′ stems and continue to form up toward the top. Bloom color can range from pale green to white. Little branching with thin leaves. Pods are plump and light yellowish-green. Plants don’t spread via rhizomes as much as with seed dispersal.
Growing conditions: Prefers full sun and does well in poor soil and likes to be on the drier side.
Native to: AL, AR, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MI, MO, MS, OH, OK, TN, WI, WV.
