Minot Air Force Base goes social Published May 12, 2009 Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- The base has launched two new forms of outreach, connecting virtually through both Facebook and Twitter to keep followers updated and provide an inside look at the base and the people who make Minot the base where "only the best come north." Minot's Facebook page launched under Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs . Followers of the base can become a fan of the page through Facebook to receive updates on the base, post thoughts and discussions, share photos and videos and connect with other fans. The page is a less formal exchange of real life on Minot Air Force Base. From operations to deployments to dorm life, Facebook members are encouraged to share their stories through the page. Facebook membership is free and the fan page is open to anyone who wants to see Minot from an insider's viewpoint. The Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs office has also established a Twitter account - mafbpa - which provides instant updates on breaking news and information about the base.
