Tennis fans have crowned Kim Sears as the unofficial Australian Open champion after she poked fun at her earlier swearing row by wearing a ‘Parental Advisory’ T-shirt to the men’s final.

Andy Murray’s girlfriend was named by people on social media as the champion of the tournament after she turned up to today’s final wearing a black T-shirt with the ‘Explicit Content’ logo on it.

Kim was clearly making a jokey reference to the media storm that engulfed her just days earlier.

During her fiancée’s semi-final match against Tomas Berdych, TV cameras zoomed on Kim after Murray had won a point.

At that point, the normally demure Kim was filmed apparently swearing in celebration.

The internet was swamped with rumours of what she said, with most people assuming she muttered: “f*****g have that you s*** flash f***.”

Murray was forced to defend his wife-to-be after critics rounded on her, saying: “In the heat of the moment you can say stuff that you regret.”

Few people were regretting Kim’s decision to wear the T-shirt with the logo, which is traditionally used as a sticker on music singles and albums with explicit lyrics.

Writing on Twitter, Sarah Harrison said: “Kim Sears you absolute legend”, while Mary White commented: “Love it! Kim Sears is wearing this after getting slated for cursing at the Australian Open the other day!”

The support for Kim marks a change from just a day ago when the Englishwoman was subjected to vile abuse from internet trolls.

A number of people accused her of being racist, while some went even further.

Pavel Kratochvil wrote: "Die. you s***,” while Karel Zelezny said: "F***ing English B****! Such a f***ing p****."
