KALAMAZOO, MI --
continues to recruit better than any other team in the Mid-American Conference.
And while it is still early, the Broncos' 2017 recruiting class ranks among the top teams in the country.
Early Thursday morning, WMU ranked No. 1 in the MAC and 14th in the nation, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. Those rankings do not factor in the commit WMU landed Thursday afternoon.
Trenton Guthrie, a linebacker from Northville, Mich., announced his commitment to the Broncos on Twitter. The 6-foot-2, 204-pound Guthrie also had offers from Ball State, Central Michigan and Toledo. He was one of a few recruits at the Broncos' spring practice Thursday morning.
Of WMU"s 14 commits, eight are from Illinois and nine are 3-start recruits.
