CMU women's basketball team uses balance to knock off Northern Illinois

MOUNT PLEASANT, MI

— The Central Michigan University women's basketball team used double-figure scoring from four players, including a career-high 25 points from Taylor Johnson, to knock off Northern Illinois, 83-56, Saturday at CMU.

CMU (10-7) improved to 4-0 in the Mid-American Conference for the first time since the 1987-88 season.

CMU held the 5-12 Huskies to 19 points in the second half.

Crystal Bradford added a double-double, scoring 14 points with 14 rebounds. She also dished out a career-high eight assists.

Jessica Green added 11 points, with former Midland Dow star Jessica Schroll and Brandie Baker added 10 points each.
