Rising property values in Ann Arbor
Property values in the City of Ann Arbor have nearly recovered to pre-recession levels, and the area now has the highest total assessed value in the state.
Crain's Detroit and Bridge Magazine collaborated on a database that shows the total assessed value of municipalities across the state. Assessed value is roughly half the market value.
Ann Arbor tops the list for 2016, beating out Detroit, which is significantly larger than Ann Arbor in terms of population and square mileage.
