Two administrators at a Metro Detroit high school resigned their positions Saturday for reportedly having pornographic images on their work computers.

Grosse Pointe South High School released a statement saying principal Allan Diver, 60, and assistant principal Brandon Slone, 35, were "under investigation for violating the Technology Acceptable Use policy related to personal e-mails with inappropriate adult images."

"We expect staff members, regardless of position, to demonstrate professional conduct in all matters, including use of the computer network," stated Thomas Harwood, assistant superintendent of Human Resources and Labor Relations for the school district. "Personal emails of staff members must reflect the values and professional standards of our district as noted in our Acceptable Use policies."

No students were involved in any way, according to officials.

Upon accepting the resignations, Grosse Pointe Public School System Superintendent Suzanne Klein stated: “The Grosse Pointe Board of Education and the district are strongly committed to behaviors that reflect professionalism in the classrooms and offices and on the computer network.”

Earlier reports declared Diver, who was the 2008 Michigan Principal of the Year by the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, was fired Friday.

Assistant Principal Joan Murphy will serve as acting principal for the rest of the school year.

School district officials are mailing a letter from Klein to all students' homes about the resignations, which come nearly four months after the high school's ex-hockey coach - Robert Bopp - was sentenced to at least 17 ½ years in prison.

The 54-year-old Bopp pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal sexual conduct after being accused of paying a drug-addicted teenager for sex.
