SUMMIT TWP., MI - Jackson County's 20th Dollar General is up and running.
The location at 3857 Weatherwax Drive opened Thursday, June 14, and has a grand opening scheduled for Saturday, June 30.
Starting at 8 a.m. on June 30, the first 50 adult customers at the grand opening will receive a $10 gift card. The first 200 will receive a tote bag with product samples.
Construction on the site began this spring. It's the second Dollar General to open in the county in 2018.
Featuring 7,300 square feet of sales space, the store employs six to 10 people. It's just down the street from the Weatherwax Drive trailhead and Falling Waters Trail.
A grand opening for the company's 21st Jackson County location is scheduled for this fall, with a store at 441 E. Main St. in Springport.
