Repaving work could cause delays on road in Spring Arbor

Traffic on Mathews Road may start experiencing delays as Jackson County Department of Transportation crews begin repaving the road on Thursday.

SPRING ARBOR TWP., MI -- Traffic on Mathews Road may start experiencing delays Thursday as Jackson County Department of Transportation crews begin paving it.

The project starts on Mathews Road between Teft and Moscow roads on Thursday, Sept. 7. In addition to paving the road, work includes restoring the gravel shoulders, per a JCDOT press release.

Work is expected to be completed in three weeks, the release stated.

The project is a part of the $11.76 million in road improvements approved by Spring Arbor Township voters in May.

Flaggers will direct traffic, but a detour route will not be posted.
