KALAMAZOO, MI — The public is invited to visit the Kalamazoo Gazette news hub, meet with staff and talk about story ideas and news operations during an open house on Wednesday, Feb. 5.
The informal open house will run 5-7 p.m. and will include free pizza, beer and wine. Kalamazoo Gazette reporters, photographers and editors will be on hand to answer questions, offer tours of the news hub and to discuss news coverage.
“While we’ve certainly hosted numerous public events in the hub over the past two years, we thought it would be fun to invite our readers in for no specific reason other than to get to know our reporters a little better and to discuss any community issues or story ideas they may have on their mind,” said Kalamazoo Gazette Editor Mickey Ciokajlo.
If you are interested in attending, please email community engagement specialist Linda Mah at [email protected] or text 269-303-6567. We are asking people to RSVP, so we can plan appropriately for food and refreshments. The hub is located at 306 S. Kalamazoo Mall, at the corner of the Kalamazoo Mall and South Street. Parking is available in the Epic Center Ramp, and we can validate your parking.
Please include your name, contact information, and the number of people who will be attending. You can also like our Facebook page, where we are creating an event listing. You can respond there.
