The fall Valley Guide for Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio is now available at Boston Store Visitor Center. This newspaper includes general park information and a schedule of programs and activities throughout the park for the months of September, October, and November.
A number of ranger-led activities are scheduled for the coming months:
Bird Walks September 7 and 14, October 5 and 12, November 9
Use your birding skills on various trails throughout the park and discover the different birds that call Cuyahoga Valley home. New birders welcome. These walks are leisurely paced.
Early Evening Hikes September 4 and 18
Join a ranger mid-week to get your exercise and hike in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. These hikes are moderately paced. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring drinking water.
Full Moon Walks September 13, October 14, November 11
Enjoy the beauty and wonder of the woods under the light of a full moon. These walks are leisurely paced. Call 330-657-2752 to register.
Hike Aboard! September 14, October 13
Join a ranger for a fast-paced hike on the hillier trails of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We ride the train one way and hike the other. Fee $5, paid on the train.
Hiking Hills September 8 and 29, October 6 and 20, November 3 and 17
For anyone looking to get their heart rate up and legs moving, these hikes are fast-paced and fitness-focused on hilly and rocky trails. Distances will vary.
Paths Less Traveled September 22, October 19, November 10
Join rangers in exploring beyond the trails of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Sturdy shoes and drinking are water recommended for these moderately paced off-trail explorations.
