So in 2015 or so my dad lost his voice. in 2017 he had a tumor in his brain and we were scared about losing him and dad said he was on his way out, that it was a race between the cancer and parkinsons.

I took to Stargate SG-1 as a comfort show because my dad and RDA are contemporaries, at least age wise, regionally, behaviorally. Both from the twin cities, both men of nature, both goofballs.

I was also a neglected child of the 90s so I had some parental stuff to squeeze out of my brain so I wrote a fanfic. Still working on it slowly, but I do enjoy doing art like this. It all started with a friend who made an aside that Amanda tapping was old enough now to be her mother after I casually mentioned that she was inspired by her subconsciously.

Anyway technically the fic is a fanfic trope I usually don't like, but I tried to make it at least somewhat interesting. Also it's just a sandbox for me to learn how to write better.
