Free, all-day music festival returns to Lowcountry in June
Hosting thousands of fans last year, the Music Festival of the Lowcountry is coming back in June with another day full of free live music and fun. J.P. Signature Group Events will present the Music Festival of the Lowcountry at Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park in Downtown Beaufort, SC on Saturday, June 7th from 1:00PM – 10:00PM featuring headliners including Tony Jackson, America’s Favorite Country Music, and Who’s Bad – The Ultimate Michael Jackson Experience.
Beaufort National Cemetery needs Memorial Day flag volunteers
Memorial Day is fast approaching and the Beaufort National Cemetery is looking for volunteers to assist in placing a flag at every one of the nearly 25,000 grave sites within its brick walls to help honor our fallen Veterans.
Annual Taste of Beaufort Festival coming to waterfront on May 2nd & 3rd
The annual foodie’s delight is returning to downtown’s Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park with the annual two-day Taste of Beaufort festival on May 2nd & 3rd. Local restaurants will gather in the grass at the park to cook up some of their best Lowcountry cuisine and show everyone what it tastes like to be in Beaufort, SC.
South Coast Cyber Center to host 4th Annual Cyber Summit
The South Coast Cyber Center will host its 4th Annual Cyber Summit on May 13-14, 2025 at Tabby Place in downtown Beaufort. This year’s Summit will focus on the dynamic intersection of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging technologies.
It's beginning to look a lot like ALDI in Beaufort, SC!
With construction started last fall, we're getting much closer to the new ALDI opening at the new Beaufort Station Shopping Center. The 21,000 square foot store is expected to open before September. This ALDI will join other retailers that opened in 2024 at the shopping center which include, including Hobby Lobby, Old Navy, Ulta Beauty, and Ross Dress for Less.
Soft Shell Crab Festival coming to Port Royal this weekend
Perhaps one of the most wildly popular local events, the annual Soft Shell Crab Festival is coming to the streets of Port Royal this Saturday, April 19th, from 11am to 5pm. In a coastal community like Beaufort, Port Royal and the sea islands, our seafood is special to us and folks love soft shell crabs and look forward to the brief season that they’re available each year. The FREE annual party on the streets of Port Royal offers us all a day of fun celebrating the season.
