One of the highest ranked Skyrim mods comes to Fallout 4 with even more features than ever! True Storms: Wasteland Edition is a complete overhaul to the storm systems in Fallout 4. Heavy rains, dust storms, radiation rains. New unique weathers, sound effects, particle effects, textures and more including configurable ghoul hordes during radstorms
Requirements
This mod does not have any known dependencies other than the base game.
Do not install heavy fog, it is not very good for the game (it is hard to see in thick fog), the temperature of the video card rises strongly and the load on the card too. Absolutely not justified.
Get the main file and the "Nuka World Plus Far Harbor Add-On". Make sure to select the Far Harbor patch in the FOMOD. Other True Storms FOMOD options are compatible or have an included patch.
If you want to add to, extend, patch, translate, or otherwise alter this mod, feel free to publish your mod without asking me, AS LONG AS IT REQUIRES THE ORIGINAL MOD.
That is to say, you cannot simply download, tweak, and re-package my mod or its individual elements as a new standalone mod. All must require the original file(s) unless otherwise specified.
If you DO want to use a specific resource from one of my mods to use in your own, please contact me with details and permissions. I'm usually pretty generous about this, so don't stress too much :)
Thank you!

Fixed a long-standing issue with the fog filter recipes using Steel Scrap instead of Steel component
Version 1.4.2
Fixed material files for light rains, which were not being detected by ENB Rain
Version 1.4.1
No actual changes, just fixed version mismatch with optional files that was messing with mod managers.
Version 1.4
Re-built with the Creation Kit
Fully configurable with new holotape (can turn each feature on/off)
New weather control holotape (displays current weather, can force any weather from vanilla, DLC, True Storms)
Far Harbor Add-On with all the heavy storm effects from True Storms plus a few new weathers (thick, deadly rad fog)
Optional "Deadly Far Harbor" add-on to increase the damage from the pockets of radiation on the island 2x, 3x, 4x, or 8x
Dynamic fog/wind particle "occlusion" -- no more fogs blowing thru walls! (can be turned on/off)
Craftable fog filters for Workshop-crafted structures to stop fogs blowing through those walls as well.
Sneak buffs for the player and companions during storms (can be turned on/off)
Configurable ghoul attacks during radiation storms (chance, frequency, amount, or can be turned off completely) -- no save bloat
Loads of small tweaks and adjustments to weathers, better balance of lightning/thunder strikes
Loads of new eerie radiation storm thunder sounds
Commonwealth Foggy re-build, new clouds/colors/etc. looks much better during the day, with 10% more Silent-Hill vibes :)
Wind / blowing fogs no longer blow thru the Prydwen main deck and other interiors that show outside weather
Glowing debris bits removed from wind during radiation rain
Lots of little fixes that are too numerous to outline in detail
Fixed a vanilla bug where if you equip the hazmat suit, then take it off, you are still invincible to radiation. This is similar to the Power Armor bug fixed by this mod in a previous version.
Version 1.3.1
Installer wizard!
Fixed TWO MAJOR VANILLA bugs in the Glowing Sea: Fast travel stopping radiation, and radiation being less than 1 rad/sec after exiting Power Armor (jeeze, Bethesda!)
Spell no longer required to be added to player for radiation rain damage, this is now part of the vanilla system. PLEASE REMOVE BEFORE UPGRADING.
Changed several weather IDs to be unique (I was taking over unused vanilla weather IDs before) PLEASE SEE STICKY FOR NEW IDs! Old ones won't work!
Removed a commonwealth weather type from the Glowing Sea that was causing it to be sunny and radiation-free sometimes.
Fixed some other conditions causing inconsistent radiation with new True Storms weathers in the Glowing Sea.
Fixed one of the rainy weathers that was not showing wetness on the Power Armor visor.
Converted interior shack rain sounds to XWM, with fade in/out loop points. This may fix stuttering and/or playback issues for some of you, or sounds getting "stuck" after rain stops.
Fixed some conditions on heavy rain shack interior sounds to stop them from playing during light rains.
Added misc additional conditions on all rain sounds to suppress the engine from playing sounds in wrong places.
Renamed a few files to match Bethesda conventions, which may effect how the engine loads/loops certain sounds internally.
Fixed conditions for wooden interiors so light radiation rain sounds would play properly.
New add-on option for more dangerous Glowing Sea radiation (2x, 3x, 4x, 8x -- sorry but 6 rads/sec in vanilla is FAR too weak!)
All climate / volatility / sunset variations available in installer
Highly experimental sneak buffs during storms - use at your own risk! Not enabled by default, message me if you're interested in trying this.
Version 1.2
All sounds resampled to a consistent 48khz in an effort to combat audio stuttering people were having, which appears to be a bitrate issue.
Fixed wetness shader during dust storms (engine does this automatically when using any camera particle effects, so had to remove some dust effects)
Updated rain materials, removed new normal map which is not used by the engine.
Version 1.1
Radiation spell fixed. No more fast travel death. Radiation rains are back in effect.
WAVs compressed to XWM at 192kbps. No loss in quality, big file size savings.
LITE version even more light, for those who experienced audio stutters (lower bit rate, half as many sounds firing together.)
Version 1.0
Added more optional files for vanilla weather chances, standard sunset times, and vanilla volatility (how long a weather stays.)
Added a LITE version with compressed thunder sounds, dramatically reducing the filesize and memory footprint for those experiencing audio stuttering.

INSTALLATION
Install using a Mod Manager and select your options. Everything is packed in BA2 archives, so everything should be plug-and-play.
True Storms is an ESM, so it must be above ESPs in your load order (but below the official game .ESMs)
Upon loading the game, two holotapes will be placed in your inventory: True Storms config and True Storms weather control
Load True Storms Configuration and enable the effects, and select what options you'd like active
If the holotapes do not appear in your inventory, you can craft them for free at the Chem Station under UTILITY
If you are using an alternate start mod, the holotapes may not go into your inventory automatically. However, they can be crafted at a Chem Station under UTILITY.
