I don't know if it's my eyes or screen but it look more green than the yellow of gold. Like it cover in moss I think it the blacks that robs the gold feature from the emblem. A closer view made me remember that it supposed to be destroyed and unkempt but if I am correct gold doesn't rust or get pitted. Anyways thank you for making it and for your time.
According to my photoshop it was fully yellow with various mix of darker tones. (Perhaps an increase in saturation will help)
But I'm posting this for feedback so that I can make various improvements. It's helpful getting various perspectives on it. I do agree regarding gold and how it shouldn't look like it's rusted and such. However I am trying to keep that black smudge on it to add contrast however a few spots have a bit of grey which doesn't seem like it fits.
If I made it fully golden and like 'brand new' then it would likely feel out of place and unnatural. So I'll make few more adjustments
True the more I see it the more the task of making it gold with out ruining what the original meaning of the discarded emblem, but is this a situation were the quality was lost when posting the image like how youtube video always compress the uploaded video quality thus the showing is not the true representation of the video? Like it look green to me here but in game it is yellow. I don't think posting picture in Nexus make them lose quality. A daring recommendation pop on my head; What if you do drastically increase the yellow to shiny gold then increase the black area as if it suffocating or consuming the Emblem with its ruin. Like that I think it will still be able to hold it original meaning of a broken empire and\or the emblem can hold a new meaning of the a golden symbol broken but it still radiating it gleam to pierce the dark abyss. The Empire will Shine warmly or drown in the cold Darkness. I think i am asking too much either way thank again. I am excited to see your work come to fruition.
Looks good to me. To my eyes and screen it look like Skyrim depiction of gold and the dark spot still make look grimy keeping to the spirit of a dying Septim empire. Look like and official Bethesda product and I mean as a good way.
