Isabel Weiner and Elizabeth Lackland each scored a goal as fourth-seeded Metuchen defeated fifth-seeded New Egypt, 2-0, in the Central, East A quarterfinals in Metuchen.

Olivia Bortman made two saves to earn the shutout for Metuchen (10-0), which advances to face top-seeded Shore, No. 6 in the NJ.com Top 20, in a semifinal matchup of unbeatens on Thursday.

Mallory Joiner made seven saves for New Egypt (8-3).
